Gusty Winds Knock Out Power To Hundreds In Westchester

Sustained gusty winds have resulted in hundreds of residents losing power Saturday in the area.

At 3:45 p.m., Con Ed is reporting more than 600 outages in Westchester. There are 100 power outages among NYSEG customers, with the majority coming in Northern Westchester.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday with 15 to 20 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph.

It will become clear overnight Saturday into Sunday as we set out clocks back an hour, marking the end of Daylight Saving Time.

Sunday will be sunny with a high in the low-50s, ideal conditions for the estimated 50,000 participating in the New York City Marathon, which starts at 9:20 a.m.
